Victoria is still mostly broad gauge. There's standard gauge track north
from Melbourne to the NSW border (not dual, its a separate track), and
west to Adelaide (completed two years or so ago as part of the National
Rail Network. This line was originally BG, but converted to SG). A
handful of the goods lines in the west and north west of the state have
also been converted to SG to feed grain traffic into the National Rail
Network (Hoptoun and Yappeet are the two I know of, but there are more
from memory).
