The speed is 30 km/h on the Wagga side of the river, 40 km/h on the Bomen
side of the river and 20 km/h over the Murrumbidgee River itself.
The through truss over the river is falling apart as, I Believe many of the
similar design bridges throughout NSW. $5m has been quoted as a cheap fix
cost.
The viaduct itself is suffering from a rippling effect where the repair
work done under One Nation is okay but the original uprights have moved (or
is it the other way around?). Seven and Eight figure sums are being
suggested to fix this.
I guess the speed will be here for quite a while.
Can anyone report on the condition of the other, similar bridges in NSW ?
