Yes it happens with most Loco's after they have been in service
for a while. Everybody likes a new one ......right.

They do fail indeed, but then if AN were not whittled away some
years ago things might be different.

The Ghan recently has had either an EL or CLP, whatever, they
still use a Power Van. (bit longer than the other two, hence
more power requirements) And contrary to popular belief the Ghan
in the past as at the moment whether EL or CLP still arrives in
Alice at around 1000 Hrs.
