In answer to the question in the header, yes it has been done before.
Back in about 1982, the former Commonwealth Railways narrow gauge Special
Services car NSS34 was attached to a Pichi Richi train for a wedding.
The service was held under a tree lineside, while the train waited.
A similar event occurred two years ago, although the SAR Commissioners
carriage Flinders was used as the bridal carriage.
