David, I respect your opinions, but that's a bit rich coming from
someone who doesn't live here. I'm not a National Trust person
or anything, but I greatly prefer riding the old W's to Z's. Okay,
so it's good to see them refurbishing the W's with hazard lights
and so on, but it's just such a shame they are also giving them
those stupid doors that don't open until the tram has come to a
complete stop.

Pretty soon you won't be able to watch amused as tourists pull
the right hand cord (to no effect) - or ride the running board
as the tram pulls into your stop!

As for heating and airconditioning... the Zs are more of a problem
in the summer because their windows don't open as far... and in
the winter, most travellers wrap up warm anyway. Lighting, I'll
grant you, could be improved!
