Fiji is actually a group of islands, there is no island called Fiji. When I
was there just over two years ago I saw a very rusted Hudswell Clark loco
in the Thurston Gardens in Suva. It was painted in green and yellow and I
have a photo somewhere. There was also a tourist train "running" from the
Fijian resort to Natadola Beach south of Nadi. The photos I saw of this
train also showed a Hudswell Clark loco but I tried to get a ticket every
day for the 10 days I was there and was told each time that it was not
running. I was subsequently told that the loco is diesel powered from the
tender anyway.
