Maybe they do, but to what end .
So that it can arrive at Broken Hill earlier , where it will have to wait for
the normal departure time.
If the aim is to accelerate the schedule by using more HP/tonne then fair enuf
,but at least change the schedule.
You certainly dont need 3 81s beyond Parkes,1 would be enough to easily
maintain full line speed.
Or are GSR basically admitting they expect their trains to always run late,and
therefore compensate by lots of HP, its certainly an expensive way to run a
train.
