Friday nights Overland ex Adelaide 21/11 made only about 1km out of
Adelaide before being pushed back into Keswick Terminal. It seems the
vintage Power Car just gave up.
NRC locos have no head end power. So another late departure out of
Adelaide yet again. On a foot note:- Serco who do the staffing with GSR
for the trains seem to have another problem with the northern bus
contract from the State Govt. When the Govt. privatised the northern bus
depot at Elizabeth staff took a pay cut of about 5,000 down from
33,000p.a. now Serco apparently is asking the staff for another $2,000
cut, obviously privitisation isn't going well in public transport. Now
we could of told them that years ago!!!!.
