It probably does, laws that lapse are rarely repealed. It is still
illegal in some places to:

* Sell lemons on a Tuesday
* Get out of the driver's side door of a car
* Wear rubber soled shoes
* Put boot polish on your face

I relation to another thread here, where placing metal objects on the
track is being discussed, Australian legislation still allows for life
imprisonment for such a thing.
