I agree about their character, but the seat design is not the best for
very long journeys. 5 hours to Dimboola was fine, but overnight to Mildura
in the BRS was a nightmare.

What I do miss is first class compartments. I never got to travel in an
AS, but 51 and 52(12)AE gave me a pretty good idea what it would have been
like. I'm sure business travellers appreciate the legroom and tables, but
others might like the option. Europe is a case in point still offering
first class compartments on many trains.

Might cause some problems. Being the only main line without CWR, the
vibration might cause even more problems for the frame.

I agree. How about an A in VR blue?

Anybody got a spare 567B which can be put into A60?
