You mean like they did before WCR took over the Warnambool service?

I don't think so...

With patronage going up on V-Line Pass, it makes good sense.

In any case, and you should know this Craig, the Govt is not SELLING
the service, it is tendering it out to whoever can operate it at the
lowest subsidy. I don't think anything at all is actually being sold.

If the new Sprinters would help a tenderer to offer to operate the
service at a lower subsidy than otherwise, then I don't think the
Govt. could expect to recoup the difference in any reasonable time.
ie; within 10 years.
