Re recent statements on ATP. Up here in the deep north (Townsville)
ATP is the "westec" devolped system fitted to the 2800 class diesels.
it uses a checksum when entering the parameters such as train length.
so is very hard/impossible to cheat. the older ATC fitted to 3100/3900
etc. electrics could (so I'm told) be fiddled by entering a shorter
