According to "Electric Railways of Victoria" by Dornan and
Henderson:

South Yarra to Caulfield opened 2/4/1879
Caulfield to Mordialloc opened 19/12/1881
Mordialloc to Frankston opened 1/8/1882

Flinders St to Glenhuntly electrified 5/3/1922
Glenhuntly to Mordialloc electrified 6/6/1922
Mordialloc to Frankston electrified 27/8/1922
