I wonder whether it has been done to speed up the trains running
through the section. I followed an up grain train from Dubbo a couple
of weeks ago, and watched as it spent 10-12 minutes at Geurie, and a
similar amount at Wellington, for safeworking.

Of course, the introduction of a train order system would (a)
alleviate the inordinate delays working through the loops, while (b)
allowing the intermediate loops to remain open, even if little used.
