Notwithstanding that this was a standard April 1st hoax, I think Steve
Holmes has done a magnificent job of designing a colour scheme for the
rebuilt R711 -- WCR now doesn't have to pay a graphics design
consultant '000's of dollars to come up with a unique design. (I
assume that the colours haven't translated to the cover well ie the
blue and yellow should be WCR's blue and yellow.)
I for one would *love* to see the R looking like this!
Someone in the Railfan Shop told me last Saturday that this colour
scheme already exists on the "R" tender.... amazingly fast painters
you have up there in Ballarat East.... it was black and red when |I
saw it at the turntable on Anzac Day <g!> (or do you have two "R"
class tenders?)
