Dividing the Xplorer at Werris Creek

Today was the fourth time I have seen the Xplorer divide at Werris Creek.
Each time it has been done differently.

September 1995: The entire train pulled into the Main North line platform.
The two sections were uncoupled and the Armidale portion drew forward a
few metres. When platform work was complete, the Moree portion set back,
then ran through the North West line platform without stopping. The
Armidale portion departed soon after.

April 1996: For some reason two portions were swapped, i.e. the Moree
portion was leading ex-Sydney. The train stopped well short of the station
(I was in car B, which would have been the 4th car on this day and I
hadn't yet passed 4705 on its block of concrete outside the station) and
divided, each section running into its own platform for station work.

April 1997: The train was stopped with the Armidale portion just past the
bracket post where the platforms divide, so the leading car was probably
just on the Main North platform. The train was divided there and ran into
both platforms.

June 1997: The train arrived at the Main North platform, was divided and
the Moree portion set back a few metres. The Armidale portion departed
first.
