Most of the Wegmann cars that are not still in service are stored(?) in
various locations around the system. Last time I was a Port Pirie, the only
Wegmanns stored at that location still were
- one dining car DC95 on transfer bogies and in a poor state, big smash mark
long the top the the car above the windows.
- two ARE rommette cars. One completely burnt out in a fire, only the body
of the car remains, the interior is just ash and asbestos. The other car is
not too bad, has been stripped of some parts.
- one lounge car AFA99. In poor condition. All windows broken and some of
the interior damaged.
- one BRB second class sleeper - not sure of the number and if it's AN owned
or not.

- one ARD twinette car. Smoke damaged as it was coupled to the ARE car that
had the fire. Not much chance of it being fixed up.
The remaining vehicles at Pirie are early Comeng or Kinki-sharyo cars.
Dining car DC100 is in the station at Port Pirie under the control of the
council tourist centre.

The rest of the Wegmann locations I know of are
Stirling North - one ARE rommette car, in very poor condition, vanadlised as
it is out in the open.
Spencer Junction - one diner DC94 on accident train
- one former lounge car that had been converted into mobile showroom car
(OWP92) for tea and sugar.
- Power van
- Second class sleeper lounge BRF90 - in reasonable condition, was used on
the Tea and Sugar.
- OWA91 community service car - ex BRF second class sleeper/lounge. This
car is now owned by the IDS group as part of the sale of about 50 cars
several years ago.
Keswick - EI84, former round ended sleeper lounge, stored out of service due
to condition of bogies, externally and internally in good condition.
Canberra - two ARD class sleeping cars in the the possession of the A.R.H.S
Canberra division (ARD80 & ARD81).
Western Australia - one rommette sleeper ARE107 in possession of A.R.H.S
Western Australia ex Kalgoolie accident train.
Port Dock Railway Museum - AFA93 Lounge car - not too bad, but still needs
work. i.e. painting, fixing of blinds, brakes, new curtains, soft
furnishings. It was vanadalised before museum got it 18 months ago.

The remaining car are generally in AN possession in various conditions,
except for the BRB second class sleeping cars which were sold to the Port
Pirie council years ago and subsequently allowed to become vandalised. They
have since be disposed of (BRB86, BRB87 - this was still in the station at
Pirie last time I checked, BRB89).

At least one car has been converted to an ECA crew car ECA98, was originally
a round ended lounge/sleeper.
