Adelaide - Melbourne Line Question

Some time ago this line was apparently resurveyed and each kilometre
is marked on the appropriate sleeper (or nearest convenient surface).

The distance is apparently from somewhere inside the Mile End / Keswick
terminal area and is about 3km less than the TransAdelaide markers:
4km is just south of the Sussex Terrace crossing at about 7.25km from
North Terrace, 5km is at the Grange Road crossing (the marking is on
the crossing surface) at about 8.25km, and so on.

Does anyone know where 0 is?

Is it the Sandfly?
