Well todays the day..........The last day of the old Railway, in about 1
minute as I write this V/line gets limited independance
from all the incompetent bastards that you and I have elected over the
years to turn a valuable utility into a rusty, under maintained
body of demoralised people and assetts, or should I say Liabilities that
probably are not worth the trouble to assett strip.......
My last day working for the old V/Line was completed sitting on
No2 Plat Spencer St awaiting a set of cars that showed up 40 mins after our
scheduled departure. we did depart 63 mins late, arriving Wodonga exactly
60 mins late.
V/Line is dead God save V/Line Inc.
Now we can all sit back and wait the rusty axe which must soon
fall. Secret communications between Stockdale and Various
Large Bus Operators confirm that this Government has a secret Agenda, and
the big lesson that Mr Brown learnt [ people will not travel on buses!] has
already been forgotten.
Operators are already preparing to take over 50% of Passenger
Services, as the New V/Line Inc. Directors have had to negotiate special
Loans to start operating on the 1-07-97. Now we are seeing the limitations
that this will place on their ability to operate.
The new V/Line Inc., will not have the Government support that
a propped up and carefully set up Public Relations / Soft Sell Exercise
,Wally Rail enjoyed thus far. And of course now that Privatisation has been
sold to a mesmarised public, I cant see WallyRail lasting much longer also!
Its 0030 01-07-97
The King is dead! God save the King!
