I was talking to someone at the Tramway museum a little while ago and they
were saying that the SLR was not going to let the oldtimers run as it would
not be in their 'modern image' ie "we are not a tramline!". It seems
however with the favourable publicity given to the scrubber car (the modern
image would be shattered now I think) that they may see the light and allow
the public to ride on the old cars some day, hopefully soon.

Maybe a Sydney version of the San Francisco F-line is starting to
germinate....
