SLR George/Hay Street

The other day when I was in the city waiting to cross the road at
George Street (near Hay street) I observed cars coming from the south
along George Street turning into Hay Street turning into the Light
Rail lines, instead of the road way. While waiting at the
intersection, I seen no less than about 20 cars turn left, and only
about 2 turned correctly. All the others turned a hard left onto the
LR lines (and in true Sydney style the immediatly moved to the right).
Once through the next intersection every single car them moved onto
the "proper" road. Now once the SLR gets going any car that does this
could end up face to face with a Tram, and I know who will come off
second best, and I don't think it will be the Tram. Maybe the DOT
needs to have a look at this intersection and make some changes.
