Thank you to those who responded to my recent posting about the official
usage of the term - "Points", "Turnouts", or "Switches".
>From what I have received (though I am still don't know the official
term used within Westrail), I can say "Points" is used officially by
many operators, namely - P.T.C., QR, State Rail (within yard) and N.R.
(outside S.A.). Therefore, "Points" will be adopted. By the way, cross
referencing will be made from other terms, such as "Turnouts" and
"Switches" towards "Points" in my thesaurus.
