According to today's (22-7-97) Daily Terrorgraph the SLR will be open
for business on 11-8-1997.
They (the SLR people) put they delays down to fine tuning of the
signaling system. Although IMO if the signaling equipment is kept in
the cabinets that are found at SLR 'stations' then the real reason
would be because they are still installing the signaling system.
Workers appeared to be still installing equipment in the cabinets when
I went for a look last, about 2 weeks ago!!!.
