A long history of strikes in the public transport
sector in many countries has two clear results:

1: The striking workforce is _never_ better
off after the strike than they were before.

2. The business is severely damaged, and job
prospects with that employer are reduced.

Workers in the public transport industry have
a problem . if they go on strike they alienate the
customers that pay their wages. Those customers
will then stay away, and the striking workers
will then have no industry to work in.

It's happened in UK, in USA and in Australia.
