Tangara Doors

On my way home from work today I was sitting in the seventh car of a
Tangara which was stopped at Central station (on the Illawarra
platforms). Anyway the train departed as usual at a great rate of
knots, only problem the doors of the train were still open. It was not
until the end of the platform before the doors started to close (and
yes the doors were giving the closing beeps) , and until well into the
tunnel before they were fully closed. It gave the two people standing
near the door a great fright as I am sure that they both nearly fell
out of the train. What ever happened to the door interlocks that
prevent the train from taking off with the doors open. (BTW the set
was T24)
