The Dream is, Darwin will become the Container Port for
Australia with double stack Trains spearing off West at
Tarcoola, East at Crystal Brook and South to Adelaide.

Considering that the States have invested millions in
Container Terminals at Ports around Australia, I would
hardly think they would sit back and watch them rust.
The Ship owners might have different ideas about
sailing to Darwin only.
The Wharfies and Maritime Unions in those Ports are
hardly likely to surrender their jobs to the North.

But above all, what are the economic advantages if any,
of a Land Bridge of this magnitude.
