The Cs arnt that heavy really, they were when initially purchased but not now.
Here are some comparative weights
C 134 tonnes
NR 132 tonnes
CLP 132 tonnes
82 132 tonnes
90 165 tonnes
81 127 tonnes
80 121 tonnes
CLPs are allowed 115 km/h on 47 kg rail ,(I presume 82s are as well.)
Id be amazed if BHP had lighter rail than this anywhere.
