So what! the line was there before any of the residents. Over a hundred
years in fact. Even thing gradients have been eased so the noise isn't
as great. If residents hadn't objected to the original plan they would
have had it even quieter and Richmond Road would still be a through road
over a railway bridge and the line not so "kinky";-).

All these so called sound boards should be paid for by the residents.
They chose to live on the rail line and should have known the
consequences.

The obvious solution is to electrify from Acacia Ridge to Fisherman's
island for Standard as well as 3ft6in gauge line. This would mean a
couple of special purpose locos being built and thats all. Perhaps some
existing electric locos could be just boggie exchanged equiped to
simplify the problem even further.
