Oh, Doctor Beeching

I didn't see any mention of this so people may have overlooked it in their
TV guides. The 1995 BBC comedy series "Oh, Doctor Beeching" is screening
at 11.45pm on Tuesdays on the 7 network. It is set on a rural branch line
in the 1960s as the station staff come to terms with Beeching's plans. It
also plays on the clash between the new BR-trained station master and the
other station staff from the "old school".

Interestingly, one of the writers must be a railfan as they have gone to
great lengths to use correct terminology and other details, right down to
the bell codes heard in the signal box.

Exterior shots used an Ivatt loco and Mk 1 rollingstock.

Cheers
