No 10 Road will be connected (in truth re-connected) at the West End shortly
(#10 Rd is the old Port Melbourne Platform);
No 14 Plat (old 1 East) would be retained as an emergency platform (in lieu of
1W);
New timetable came in at the end of June;
10/97 the Caulfield Sdgs at FS would close & direction of running in Burnley
Loop to be reversed;
2/98 - all new suburban stabling sidings to be in use, viz: Westall, Bayswater,
Camberwell, Flem Race & Burnley; Frankston & Oakleigh Sdgs in Flinders St Yd to
close;
3/98 - all rem. sdg in FS Yd to close, removal to commence and all trains at FS
to be through running;
10/98 'Permanent' timetable to be introduced with full Upfield service and 15
min service on most lines Monday - Friday daytime.
