Errrrr...sorry to stir up you guys, my original post should have
referred to C501 as the logo'ed C rather than 510.

On Saturday last 23/8/97 the 11.45 steel train northbound from
Melbourne had 5 locos, being NR(76?), G518, and C's 501/508/509 dead
attached. (The order of the C's is uncertain)

The G came off at Henty and was placed in the lead of 2 x NR's on a
southbound freight, the single NR with the 3 C's then continued
northward.

I don't KNOW that the C's came off in Junee, but that seems a
reasonable guess......
