I don' know what the engine numbers were either but it is quite normal for
up to 7 locomotives to be
placed on a train for engine balance reasons . A maximun of 4 to be working
The train was most
likey 1757 , empty Npry's for Kandos and the load would have only been in
the region of 800 tonnes.
3 dead 86's would have added another 420 tonnes , so it is likley that it
was 3 working and 4 dead .
