I endorse Michael's comments about the incorrect rendition of metric units.
At the time of conversion (over 20 years ago now), the correct style for
all units was published in a booklet by MCB. The material forms an
appendix in the AGPS style manual, used widely by other groups.
Newspapers were the worst offenders in starting kph: the one unit which
everybody should write correctly, as road signs use the correct version.
