About 6 months ago, I was in the Hurstville Library where there was a big
display regarding the quadruplification of the East Hills line. There was a
large poster that had an aerial view of the east hills line as far as
Riverwood.
The poster said that the work would be in two stages. The first being
quadruplification between Wolli Creek and Kingsgrove then Kingsgrove to
Riverwood.
Of course, things may have changed since then. But it was interesting to
see so much work going into announcing a project like that.

As an aside, I posted an article to this group but I don't think it showed
up... I saw an unusual movement in the Sydney Terminal yards a couple of
months ago. I saw an 82 class (I think), NR and Vline loco with a container
goods train. It seemed that the locos were changing ends of the train. Is
this normal? I haven't seen anything like it. Sorry for the sketchy details
it was a couple of months ago.
