[SYD] Metro Light Rail Closure

IMPORTANT NOTICE
TO ALL LOCAL RESIDENTS

Dear Resident,

The Metro Light Rail system will be closed
over three consecutive evenings to allow
track profiling to be conducted.  This
will involve the grinding of rails along
the inner western extension with a specialised
rail-grinding machine.

This work will generate some noise and we 
apologise for any disruptions this may cause.
We are profiling the rail to reduce noise
during operation of the system so that it
remains quiet to residents within the area
of the Metro Light Rail line.

This work is sccheduled as follows:
 9.30pm - 5.00am 28/29th May 2001
 9.30pm - 5.00am 29/30th May 2001
 9.30pm - 5.00am 30/31st May 2001

On the above dates the last tram will depart
Lilyfield at 9pm, a bus service will operate
from Star City to Lilyfield from 9pm to 11pm.
Tram services will resume from Lilyfield at 6am.
