The main problem with fixed public transport infrastructure in the
freeway reservation is that it runs for much of its length through a
floodplain, quite a distance from the nearest development. While
feeder buses or park and ride services could be provided, having to
drive or catch a bus to the station, then change to a train, then
possibly have to change again before reaching your final destination,
is hardly an attractive proposition. A direct bus service would most
likely be quicker and easier, and cheaper to provide.
