It will take some of the VFR market, but I suspect it will impact more
on the coach companies in the short term. $89 is only the introductory
fare, and an adult economy seat on the Overland is $57. This alone isn't
going to kill the train.

Once Impulse starts flying to Adelaide, the fare war will hit harder.
Expect fares under $50. This is what will kill the Overland.

Also of note is that Impulse is offering $19 from Sydney to Newcastle.
