The State Government says the doubling of planned spending to upgrade
level crossings in New South Wales has been partly prompted by lobbying
from the Riverina. The Transport Minister, Carl Scully, says $12 million
will be spent in the next three years to install warning lights, boom
gates or bells at 130 level crossings statewide.
