After seeing footage of the incident I wouldn't be crowing about the vehicle
design.

The isn't the way that safe vehicle's are designed to crumple, the emphasis
should be on shifting the vehicles away form each other, not folding one up.

However, as I'm not a rollingstock expert, this may just have been due to
the low speed.
