Oh, come on... give the poor fellow a break!! He probably already feels
frustrated that he is not able to fine people for not having a valid ticket,
and then you come along and blast him for not doing what he is not allowed
to do.
As a station officer, I have the same problem. I see people travelling
without valid tickets all the time, and the most I can do is tell them that
if they meet a ticket inspector they will get a fine.. We are supposed to
provide a "Barrer Presence" when possible and ask for tickets. It is very
frustrating when some low-life rubs it in your face that he/she doesn't have
one, or a passenger chastises you for the fact that you haven't "Booked"
them. It makes you feel prostty horrible. Please, think twice before telling
someone how to do their job.
