Re: Boom gates for level crossing tragedy spot



I ope they dont put the booms parrellel with the railway at that crossing, but
around the corner at 90 degrees to stop the traffic before that curve - if done
traditionally the  foolish traffic may no see it and hot the barriers etc. The
road really goes at rightangle then onto the track, then back again. Perhaps
they need  operating spikes to raise to stop the road traffic as well.

A Red Light ( or rather a boom-light camera ) would still be useful as well.
