Re: Yarra Trams Article in Sunday Age

Shall we also ring them 20 minutes before their train is expected? Or ring
them in the morning to make sure they are ready?

Come on.... 95% of people know where they are going and what they need to do
and how to go about it.

It's just too easy to blame others and the system for the short cuts THEY
CHOOSE TO MAKE.
Granted *correct change only* jammed machines* etc don't help
but humans can be resourceful if they want to be.

Here's an idea...if you see the machine is broken at the start of your
journey station why not think ahead and when you get to your destination
station by a few tickets for the *just in case*
scenario?

People who sit there and say "but why should I?"
It's easy, to save yourself any possible concerns of grief.

For god's sake are people that lazy nowdays to add a little forethought into
their day?
