This afternoon's Overland from Adelaide brought some
Ghan carriages for Sunday's Openday.
Consists were:
<--Spencer Street
NR84
Power car
Club car no. 2
Coach
Coach
Kookaburra club
Kookaburra club
Roomette
Twinette
Twinette
Luggage Van
Motorail
Chairman class VIP carriage SSA260
Twinette
Stuart restaurant(This explained why last night's Ghan
had an un-refurbished dining car)
Deluxe class(ARM288)
Power car
Interesting to see first class lounge, Holiday class sleeper-dining
car-lounge and coach class were not present.(maybe
they will brong them down tomorrow?)
BL27 came to shunt Ghan carriages to Platform 2 and
then assist with motorail wagon shunting whereas NR84
left Spencer Street few minutes after arrival. Such
long consists require siganl man at signal box to wave
green flag to BL27 drivers.
