Historical Note:

When electrification was being 'sold' (100 years back...)
one of the benefits proposed was the ability to cut power to avoid
a collision.  It would be an interesting study to find out:

	How many systems are set up to allow this.

	How many times its been used...

(If it's not been mentioned, some of the UK signalling has a
'big red button' which sets all the signals to stop.  Or so I
gather from uk.railway(s?).  Applicable to interlockings...)
