Overland 1st class: not bad
XPT 1st class : crap

Overland 1st class is just sleepers.First class passengers get to have
free lunch, champagne(bottomless).

First class passengers get to move around 2 club cars, the club car
looked a bit simple but great for viewing due to smaller gap between
windows and better position of the seats the the original club car
currently use for coach class passengers.

XPT offers little differece between first class and economic class. The
XPT sleeper can be very noise at night(bogie noise). No club nor lounge
car for passengers for XPT nor free meal for first class passengers.
There's a buffet car offers little choice (and disgusting food) for
passengers. First class sleeper passengers, if you travelling at night
you will get a toiletries kit.(Not as good as the one on The
Ghan/Indian Pacific)

Ghan is more expensive then Overland, first class passengers get a
luxury lounge space and on board supper(cheese/cookie) and breakfast if
you only travel between Adelaide and Melbourne.

You will also get a free toiletries kit if you travelling on the Ghan.
