G'day all,

The small indicator box you refer to is indeed provided to show the
train (or as you put it 'run') number. These are the numbers from the
Working Time Table, which of course, the public know nothing about!
Nothing like confusing the punters..!

During peak times, the 'stopping pattern' codes are displayed next to
the destination, above the Driver's position.
