How strange, that after having billions spent on the State Rail system,
the trains are really running no better than they did back in the
1970's.
I remember that back then, there was always staff around on the
platforms, young fella's getting around with a broom and scoop cleaning
the platforms. You knew were the trains were going by the lights on the
front of them.
When they replaced the old rattlers, closed down all the small signal
boxs they system suffered.
So much for the billions spent. Add to this the promotion by merit
system and the final nail was driven into old beloved system.
