Depends what you mean by "many".

Not including stored engines, Tasrail has an operational fleet of
about 50 locos (including 3 shunters), which haul a variety of paper,
log, cement, mining output and container traffic. There are no regular
passenger services but there is an active preservation scene that runs
mainline charters and tours.

Some lines don't see daily services, but certain points in the north of
the state might see as many as six trains a day (my estimate; someone
who lives there could be more accurate).
