>From the local papers it seems that an announcement will occur in late
February. The operator 'WA Leisure Rail' services is believed to be
beginning with trains that connect with the Australind and then run to
Bridgetown several trains a week. The proposal indicates patronage of 30,000
per year. It is believed to be part of a tourist proposal that will later
include tours to Albany and Geraldton, main player believed to be a former
Hotham Valley president with experience importing carriages from South
Africa.
