Access to SRA Plans at State Records

Some of you may recall postings here about the 30 year closure imposed on
much of what was freely available at the SRA Archives.

I have been in contact with the Records Manager for State Rail who advises
that they will shortly arrange to have a large number of the more common
plans & drawings taken off the closure list, and in particular the
Mechanical Branch microfilms of Locomotive plans etc.

Most plans, drawings  that are still closed can be accessed by filling out a
form available from State Records or the Records Manager, State Rail
Authority.
